  36.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of
  37.        OCTANE Digital Video and IMPACT Video.

  39.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  40.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  41.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  42.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  43.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  44.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  45.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  47.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
  48.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  87.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  89.        OCTANE Digital Video and IMPACT Video requires the following
  90.        software:

  92.           +o OCTANE Digital Video and IMPACT Digital Media 6.5
  93.             (impactdm),

  95.           +o Digital Media Execution Environment 6.5 (dmedia_eoe).

  97.        2.5  _C_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y_:
  98.  
  99.           +o IMPACT Video requires IMPACT Graphics. It will not
  100.             operate with XL, XZ, or other graphics subsystems.

  103.           +o Monitors other than 1280 x 1024 or with refresh rates
  104.             greater than 72Hz are not compatible with IMPACT Video.

  106.        2.6  _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__F_i_l_e_s
  107.  
  108.        The video devices have certain configuration values. There
  109.        are factory defaults for each device stored in:
  110.  
  111.             /usr/etc/video/videod.defaults._d_e_v_i_c_e,
  112.  
  113.        where _d_e_v_i_c_e is impact for OCTANE Digital Video and IMPACT
  114.        Video.  Using _v_i_d_e_o_p_a_n_e_l you can restore these, as well as
  115.        saving and restoring a local configuration in
  116.  
  117.             /usr/etc/video/videod.defaults.
  118.  
  119.        NOTE: The videod.defaults.impact file is installed as part
  120.        of the OCTANE and IMPACT Digital Media Common Software,
  121.        impactdm.sw.eoe.
